What is the safest way to transport a portable generator in an RV, fuel tank full or empty?
Generator is a Yamaha EF2400iS Invertor
Safest way is to disconnect the fuel lines, plug the tank outlet and fill the tank with water.
Next is a full tank as long as the fuel tank or cap has a tight vent so fuel can't slosh out.
Gas by itself won't ignite or explode; it must be in vapor form.
An empty tank is ALL fuel vapor.
