suburban water heater Is it bad to run a 86 diesel suburban with a leaky heater core? Or is it a rain leak?
It's parked outside, facing downhill. There's a fairly profuse drip from behind glovebox into floormat. I know that's where the heater core is. Is it going to hurt anything if I run the truck about ten miles?
Has anyone else ever just had a water leak there in a similar truck?
Your best bet is to bypass the heater core by switching the hoses around on the engine block. Just take the one off the heater core where it enters the firewall and reattach it to where the other hose attaches to the block. Tada! You no longer have a heater (or leak)
We bought a older model Camper a 1989 Jayco Express 1750. Everything seems to work well with the exception of the Water Heater. We can not get the pilot light lit. The Water Heater is a suburban VRV6X. Could you give me some suggestions as what could be the problem. No I do not smell gas when I hold down the Pilot button.
