Rv Water Heater The water is frozen for my 32' jayco rv. It is a newer one (2007) so everything is concealed.?
not sure where to start. If I put skirting around the trailer either hay,plywood or buy skirting from rv place and then place a heater underneath would that work?
It may take a while,but it should work.Keep a eye out for any leaks once it thaws.The freezing may have caused a pipe to burst.They make RV water system antifreeze.Make sure you use it in the future to keep it from happening again.

I have tried cleaning all connections, cleaned sensor rod next to ignitor. Ignitor only works sporatically. Can light manually. Will stay lit and heat water, but will only relight by itself occasionally. How do I troublshoot this?

how can i biuld a passive solar water heater for my rv?
Strictly passive would be to figure out a way to mount a 55 gallon barrel painted flat black on the outside and mount to your RV's roof. Looks really cool and doesn't affect the aerodynamics of your sled at all.
OK...better bet would be to mount a solar hot water generating panel on the roof and pipe things into the existing heater keeping the existing source of power as backup. Check with your local RV shop for help.
