Cohesion is the sticking of water to other polar substances like the xylem vessel of a tree. Water sticks to itself through adhesion and to other polar things through cohesion.
The main mechanism that powers this flow is water potential. Since the soil is wet and moist, water potential on the ground is higher than water potential in the shoots and leaves. The higher up the plant, the lower the water potential and this osmosis is a main factor at how water travels up.
Thus, when there is a pull for water from the leaves of a plant, water travels up connected to itself which adds more pull to the bottom.

Yes, because B = rho g V is the buoyancy; where rho is the mass density of water, g = GM/R^2 is the gravity force field, and V is the volume of the displaced water. G is the universal gravity constant, M is the attracting mass (e.g, Earth or Moon), and R is the distance between the center of the attracting mass and my body.
As you can plainly see, if g' < g, then b = rho g' V < rho g V = B and the buoyancy b on the Moon, for example would be about 1/6 that of the same water and immersed object on Earth because the Moon's gravity force field g' = 1/6 g, the force field on Earth.
Now let's be clear, B or b are the buoyancy forces, but the net forces acting on me are F = W - B on Earth and f = w - b on the Moon. W and w are my Earth and Moon weights. It's the net forces, F and f, that determine if I float or sink. Buoyancy is just a part of those two forces.
I will float when W = mg = rho g V = B on Earth and w = mg' = rho g' V = b on the Moon. In other words, I'll float when the buoyancy forces equal my weights on the respective planets.
In which case, I'll float when m/rho = V on both the Moon and Earth. As my mass and water mass density, m and rho, are the same on both planets, I will displace the same volume V of water on either planet when I float.
Thus the answer is yes, B and b are changed with changing gravity, but no, I will still float with the same volume V displaced on either planet and g or g' has no effect on that.
