powered Roof Vent Does this sound ok? I don't know. .?
I mite buy this 03 chevy blazer 4x4 ZR2 edition and it's black. BUT Please read from the seller. Vehicle Description We bought this Blazer from an insurance company. The vehicle rolled over causing a large dent on the roof and light damage to the sides of the vehicle. As you can see in the photos there are some dents and scratches that could be repaired and a broken fender flare. All of the body damage is clearly visible in the photos. This blazer runs and lot drives well in its current condition, there are NO issues found with the engine or transmission. There are NO warning lights illuminated on the speedometer. The power sunroof vents and opens 2 inches ONLY. It has a dent in the roof, like above the windshield, and it has a life of paint missing. Do you think that is repairable. Also do you think that the vehicle is safe as is, or will need to be repaired. ?
If they bought it from the insurance company, it is a salvage title car. Between the body shop, sunroof, and other odds and ends, you are looking at 3-4 thousand dollars to fix. So unless you get it for a thousand or less, it isn't worth it.
I currently have a gable fan and enough insulation in the attic, but, it seems the interior temperature in the house is still about 10 degrees higher than the outside temperature. The gable fan I have states that it is made for a 2000 sq. ft. home which is more than I need, but, it is still hot. Is it better for me to install a power attic roof vent in addition to my gable fan?
Might want to use relective insulation on gabel fan should be enough might also want to plant some lombardi poplars or some other deciduous shade tree that is a quick grower
Replacement Roof Vent replacement cover for outdoor dryer vent?
I need to find a cover to replace the outdoor vent cover for my dryer. It comes up from the ground, not the roof, and has a cover to prevent leaves, water, and debris from getting in. The sun has hardened and warped the old cover so I need to find a new one but I'm having a hard time. Can anyone suggest anything? The normal hardware stores don't seem to have what I currently have.
Thanks!
if you want to end the cycle of replacement, i would suggest a top made out of copper. you don't need any certain style. the place where i buy my copper roof accessories sells all types and sizes of vent covers. i would try looking up a local sheet metal shop. if they don't have one, they should be able to whip one up for a couple bucks. good luck!
galvanized has a relatively short lifespan and copper is permanent. on something that small, there will hardly be a cost difference.
My Ridge Vent leaked and has caused icicles to form on every nail in one side of my roof. How do I fix this?
The roofer says to replace the ridge vent because it was improperly installed, by the builder, and that they left the nails uncovered Also he recommended to take out one panel board (inside the attic which is covered by blackrot from the ridge vent to the soffits. The insurance company says Im covered.
However we've just had another snowstorm (BEFORE the roofers began the replacement) and now i see a sheet of ice which covers EVERY BOARD INSIDE MY ATTIC ON ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE FROM THE RIDGE VENTS TO THE SOFFITS.
Is just replacing the ridge vent alone going to solve my problem now? Don't I need new shingles or panel boards (since the boards are covered with a sheet of ice???)
try insulating between the ceiling joists and have tile vents fitted . The heat from your house rises and hits the cold roof causing condensation, the insulation stops the heat escaping and the vents give you a circulation of fresh air keeping you attic dry. it will also save you money because you wont lose so much heat keeping your heating bills down.
