Buy Rv Generator Can someone give me a crash course on RV 101?
My husband and just bought an RV and he always drives and connects it to the campgrounds. He is having to go out of town and I would like to surprise him with the family to support him during a difficult time. Got schools and work taken care of and I drove a horse trailer for a number of years so I'm confident in my abilitly to handle it. its just the things like generators and sewers I am completely ignorant of .
Which Generator type, Gas Propane Diesel is best for a mobile trailer workshop?
I am purchasing a LARGE MOBILE TRAILER to be my mobile workshop. I wonder which would best regarding fumes and general maintenance. Onan approx. 7000w is my preffered choice at this point.
One that runs on propane will be the best as far as pollution goes. Gas gives the more power, diesel would cost too much and of course, pollutes the most. You need to calculate the total wattage you'll be using and buy a generator rated for it. Note that on most generators the advertised wattage is serge wattage and the sustainable wattage is less.
This generator hasnt been started in a few years.. I got the fuel pump to pick up prime finally and im getting fuel but the generator just cranks and cranks never does start and run. Any suggestions on where to start to get this thing back to running again. It only has like 45 hours of total useage on it so pretty much a new generator
Onan is in a class of it's own. (a really old class) So no lawnmower guy is going to have parts. And they are very expensive. Also-nothing else will do. They do run forever and are quite reliable when they have been tuned by a factory trained onan guy. I have one with 400 hours on it and it runs like new.--Probably because I haven't tried to mess with it yet If this is in a boat? make sure about who installed it and is it safe to breath the cabin air---.
