Vent Lid My toilet will not flush with any paper in it and I have mold growing from my sink?
I think the problems are related, but not sure? The tank fills full and dumps well. I can plunger the toilet and it clears up easily. I dug up the tank (which overflows to a pond on the back of the property) and took the lid off to make sure there was no back pressure. What I do not know is how the roof vents play into this? The sink part of the problem: It has the seal leg under the sink and it holds a good level. (no leaks). Help!
I am not a plumber but have done some septic work, it sounds like you may have a clog in the drain line, you may be able to get a "snake" which is long flexible piece of metal that you work down the drain, or you could have someone come out and take a look. possibly roots from trees could be clogging it also

Canning Using Presto Canners
Presto canners are easy to use. A Presto canner is lightweight and has thin walls made from aluminum or stainless steel. Most of them come with twist on lid and are fitted with gaskets. couple of them come with screw down knobs. They have a safely vent, a weighted steam vent and removable racks. Dial gauge is also fixed for indication of pressure. Presto canners can handle one layer of smaller jars or they are deep enough to accomodate two layers of small jars.
The jars in the canner do not need to be completely filled with water. There are directions written on the canners which will tell you how many cups of water are required for the exact amount of pressure. The vent of the pressure canners need a certain lenght of time to boil the water inside the jars with the lid on. It makes the steam to push out the air on it and makes the jars filled with only steam and boiling water. Both the boiling water and the steam have the same temperature at 240 degrees F. Since there is no air inside the jars, the heat is conducted easily to all the jars.
Some tips to use a presto canner are:
During processing, do not let the pressure drop. Turn the burner on if the pressure starts to go down. If the pressure goes down below the recommended amount, increase the heat and bring the canner's pressure to the recommended pressure. Read the instructions carefully if you are 1000 ft above sea level.
Vent the presto canner with steam for the specified length of time. This will prevent the air to trap inside the closed canner. The air trapped will lower the temperature and give the results in processing. Pressure canners need to be vented in 10 minutes before sealing.
Leave the steam vent uncovered and lock the canner lid if you want to properly use the canner. The canner needs to be on high heat until the water generates steam. This steam can be seen escaping through the vent port.
There are many benefits of canning and preserving. Financially, the more canned food you eat, the less you pay for groceries. If the canned food was picked from your garden, it is even less expensive.
Canning requires more than one person. It is a good way to spend time with the family and teach the new generation the skills of canning. It is an art which should not be lost.

power Cord How to change out a laundry dryer power cord?
I have a dryer I need to change to a four prong power cord. I know to put the white in the middle, and the red or black on either side. The problem I have is the ground wire, the green one, currently runs from the nut on the door into the dryer. Do I keep this current green wire? Its not a part of the current power cord? Can I overlap the green wire to the new power cord over this one?
If you haven't figured it out already, That green wire needs to be removed from the middle of the terminal block and attached to the green wire from the "pig-tail". And no, do NOT overlap them. It HAS to be removed from the neutral of the system.

Rv Heat Pump rebuilt 305 with RV cam keeps running hot with no stat, and new water pump and radiator?
i just had a 305 rebuilt with an small RV cam.
started running hot, so here is what i did replaced water pump. replaced hoses. took out thermostat. no stat installed had radiator checked and rodded. set the timing several times and no difference. heats up rather fast and really heats up at speeds has electric fans and never overheated before.
no bubbles in radiator no water in oil. no indications of a blown head gasket.
please help lol ok well the thermostat did nothing, it is still running way to hot. i made another post wuestion about if my distributor was the problem please look into it if yall have time.
With out a thermostat the coolant doesn't stay in the Radiator long enough to cool down. Put in a 195 thermostat and see how Much better your car runs!

You can save a lot of money by doing it yourself. The two most important things to consider for winter boat storage are the engine and drives.
Winterizing your boat engine and drive is work. But remember, improperly winterizing will cost you more in the spring! Pick a nice sunny day and proceed.
There are differing opinions on its necessity over a seasonal layup, but I always add fuel stabilizer to my tanks before my last short trip of the season. This will allow it to mix well with the fuel in the tank before it hits the boat storage yard. Save money on this item by buying in bulk. West Marine lets you buy by the case and save over 10%.
Fog your boat engine by revving the engine to about 1500 rpm and spray fogging oil into the carburetor. When the RPMs begin to drop, shut off the engine. This will coat the cylinder walls with oil and prevent corrosion building up over the winter months. Fogging oil is not only frequently a sale item at West Marine, you can use their internet coupons for additional savings.
Change your engine oil after you’ve run your engines. Warm oil flows much easier. Drain as much dirty oil as possible. It’s easiest done with an oil extractor. Remove your propellers and examine them for nicks, or bends in the prop blades. Check the prop shaft. Grease the shaft with some quality, waterproof grease.
