Is this for emergency use or for a full-time installation?

If you are intending to run all of the above at once including water heating, kitchen range and AC on a 10 kva plant, you will be pushing it. Certainly your fuel bill will be substantial. You might consider converting the engine to run on natural gas if it is available.

If this installation will be semi-permanent, I would seriously consider a 15 kva plant to avoid running near capacity most of the time.

You can get a more accurate assessment by listing every electrical device in the house (and there are likely many more than you think). Beside each, list it's power requirement in watts. Power requirements are always on a label somewhere on the device. For those that give the power requirement in amps, convert to watts using the formulas:

for 110 volt appliances
Watts = 110 x amps

for 220 volt appliances
Watts = 220 x amps

Don't forget things like hair dryers, toasters, portable heaters, welders, stovetop elements, clothes washers and dryers, garbage disposers, attic fans, bathroom fans, outdoor appliances & yard lighting, shop tools, auto block heaters and battery chargers, etc. You can reduce your power requirement by converting all lights to fluorescent or LED.
