Can I put one inside the cab and run it electrically? Do I need to get an RV aircinditioner and have it mounted on top of the Cab? Where do I get this? How much would it cost?

Where do the air conditioner compressor in the top of the RV takes the power from??

I have seen that in the motor homes the air conditioner is on the top of the vehicule, and also I know that all the air conditioners have a compressor that consumes a lot of energy. In the cars the compressor is attached by a belt to the engine, but what about these RV air conditioners??

there electric sort of like a window unit in a house the rv air conditioner works when its plugged in at the campground or by an on board generator

I know what you are talking about. These are "air coolers" I have one from symphony. It is cheap and economical as you described. They can't be used as room heaters. I mean they cant condition air but are good enough in summer. You can buy portable ones as well.

Yes I see your point. I just don't think that is what he was implying. But only Gary can clarify that one.

And yes you are welcome to think/feel however you please, I was not telling you that you were wrong, I was simply stating that I don't feel as though that was how it was meant to come across.

And reality there is no comparison to a broken air conditioner or to a fireball. One you can escape the other you cannot. So give me the broken air conditioner anyday.

You don't give a lot of detail, so my answer will not have a lot of detail:

For the ducts – yes, install something to fill the gap. I have no idea what size and shape they are, so get us more detail if you can't figure it out yourself.

As for the windows, I believe you will be better off removing the window and replacing it with either a board or plexiglass with the proper holes to mount the duct. It will keep inside things in and outside things out.

We don't use duct tape for projects.
