Portable Propane Generator

what portable generator is better one that runs on gas or on propane?
If you have natural gas service to your house then I would go with natural gas.

Gasoline vs. Propane powered home generator?
What type of generator should I buy for my home, a gasoline or one that is powered by my propane gas line? Pros and cons of each? I need between 10,000-15,000 watt of power since I want to hook it up to my ac. Do they make 10,000 watt generators that are portable? Why would you need a portable generator? Thanks, moving to a hurricane zone and am unfamiliar with these types of products.
Read through my home generator page.

Portable gasoline powered generators are available up to at least 15kW, although at that capacity the weight and size somewhat limit how portable the units really are. Even my 5kW generator needs a second person for lifting aboard a truck or trailer.
There are conversion kits available to power the engine from either gasoline, natural gas, or propane. There is a link from my generator page, above. Depending on availability, propane can also be very difficult to obtain during a power outage. The lineups will be much longer as people want to refill their tanks for cooking purposes. On the other hand, the storage issues related to propane are much easier compared to gasoline.

The public outreach and process for these food-vending operations in Dolores Park was a disaster. Blue Bottle was proposing a large steel, waffle-fronted cart directly next to the kiddie playground, complete with a noisy propane generator – pretty crude. The other vendors were not much better, all selling the likes of cakes, other dessert food, and greasy snacks. This in spite of the bad ongoing problems of litter in Dolores Park and the notoriously bad restrooms. The little Park House in the middle of the park is a ghastly dilapidated relic of bad institutional design from the 1940s, and there are no plans to improve it. When people appeared to testify at the Park & Rec Commission to testify, they were curtly informed that Park & Rec. had already made their decision, and that they were just listening to testimony as a courtesy. Yes, that is “steamrolling” !!
I went from gas furnace to shutting off a lot of my house (I'm here alone and it's big) and using space heaters frugally. I'm on hydro power, too, but it has gotten more expensive. The space heaters use a lot of electricity, but I can put them on timers and they have thermostats and just heat what needs to be heated.
I”m also getting a propane tank and a propane generator in the next year.
