What a bunch of pussies! You wouldn’t be sitting on your lazyboys moaning like little kids to the www if it weren’t for scientists taking risks. To progress involves risk, get used to it and enjoy the future advances that will come with these projects. Do you think they will be drilling into magma using oil type drilling platforms? No chance, they will have to develope better tech such as laser drills and containment fields so who knows what could further develope from them.
Buy a small christmas pudding for you and a small christmas pudding shaped sponge pudding with chocolate in the middle for himself. I think Rob got something like this in his christmas hamper from work (which he doesn't like any of the food in which means that I get to eat it or we give it away as christmas presents) which are from Waitrose and are very nice.Also, in case random friends/relatives drop in to wish you happy christmas and they bring gifts, wrap a few bottles of wine/posh olive oil type thing (or make them – cheaper olive oil but put some chilis or something in and wrap it all posh)/bubble bath and keep them under your tree so that if said guests bearing gifts do arrive you can give them a gift in return and not feel bad! These thingys you can get in your weekly grocery shop so no problem with mad holiday shopping.
