I need an air pump for a 50 gallon fish tank?

I need an air pump for a 50 gallon fish tank. It seems that everywhere I look they only have pumps for 10 and 25 gallon pumps. Do you know of a reputable website that I can find what I want?

They carry dual air pump at walmart that is what I have in my 55 gal tank.

Anyone heard of the ProLine 11 gallon air compressor that's at Pepboys?

I noticed it's included in the black friday ads, and I know my boyfriend needs one. It's an awesome deal, but I can't find info on it anywhere, ya k now, reviews n stuff. Anyone know where I can find reviews? Or have you heard of the brand and know anything about it? I just don't want to waste my time and money if it's not worth it.

Thanks!!!!!

You get what you pay for. I'd HIGHLY recommend buying one from Sears instead. The compression seal is going to wear out, and you'll end up throwing the whole thing away, unless you go with Sears. They've got a GREAT service to get you any individual piece you need so you won't have to replace the whole thing, and that'll make it cheaper in the long run.

Most studies, including “Consumer Report” and the NHTSA have shown that nitrogen can hold inflation in tires better than air. The test results are available on line. Just the permeation tests alone showed that air permeates through tires at a greater rate than N2. Although air permeates at a rate of 1 to 2 pounds per month, which is really insignificant, what is significant is the lapse of time between pressure adjustments which for most consumers is at oil change. With oil change intervals increasing, there is greater pressure loss between adjustment time, Or, the more time passes between pressure adjustments the lower the pressure at the time of adjustment. Being in the auto parts buisness and having sold TPMS tools, I’ve done a lttle bit of studying on the versus air thing as it was sometimes brought up in my TPMS demonstrations. If the consumer would do as every auto manual in North America says they should do once a month, check the pressure and, of course, adjust accordingly, this discussion wouldn’t be happening. The reality is that folks aren’t doing it. In fact, for most, it’s quite inconvenient. Not everyone has an air hose readily available in their garage. There are few full-service gas stations and the stations that have air moved the station to the outer edge of the parking lot and is sometimes blocked by other cars. Then the stations have the audacity to charge for the air. It’s no excuse for riding around on under-inflated tires but it is still a reality. I have a 30 gallon air compressor in my garage bur I rarely fired it up just to check the tires on my vehicles. You know the excuse; “I’m in a hurry.”The dealer who did my tires has a deal where by me agreeing to do it they enrolled me into an auto club. This auto club offer’s a nice roadside assistance package along with tire hazard repair and tire hazard replacement coverage. Compared to Triple A’s one year membership with no tire hazard coverage, the basic one year level cost me $65.00. The difference is the coverage is for the car, not the person. But, the only other car I drive is my wife’s and having done the N2 on hers with the auto club thrown in on it I still saved money because I didn’t have to buy another Triple A policy for her. My N2 conversion cost me $40.00 and included the auto club. Like any insurance policy I hope I never have to use it but if I do I’ll be glad I have it.My dealer is not far from me and they will do my pressure check and adjustment for me at no charge. Just the time it saves me over 12 months to not have to fidgit wiith such a mundane preventative maintenance procedure makes me happy. And with the monthly reminder my dealer sends, I’ve saved a few bucks as well on other services using the coupons they send with the reminder. So in summary, I have an inflation gas that has been shown to stay in my tires longer. I got a member benefit package that’s better and cheaper than the other one I had, I don’t have to futz with the pressure checks every month other than going to the dealer that I pass by often three tmes a day and I save a few bucks on other services. I did notice an increase, though slight, in my MPG but driving 30,000 to 35,000 a year annually that adds up. I use the same brand and tread of tires which compared to previous sets I do believe these have actually lasted longer. I’m sure I could get the same results with air and regular pressure checks and adjustments but it was only $40.00 to switch to N2 and get the other benefits I received that would more than cover the $40.00 if I have to use it. I don’t know how many dealers offer N2 with the auto club deal but the company is Go Green Auto Club and they have a dealer locator button. I just lucked out and had one down the street.
