Coleman generator powermate 6250
4 prong twist female to 3 prong push male electrical connection.?
Ive a Coleman powermate 6250 generator and Im wanting to make a 220V extension cord to power my Millermatic 211 weld machine. The gen has a 4 prong twist female connection while the welder has a 3 prong push male connector. What to do? Thanks.

Is more than likely, a 20 amp 240 volt "twist lock", 4- wire
The 3 prong cord end is likely a 240 volt also but your info does not give me amps.
In small embossed letters, on the face side of the device (either the cord cap or the receptacle), there are usually some numbers and/or a "nema" code.
If the # on the cord cap is over 20 and the amp rating on the welder is over 20 (which I am SURE it is probably 50 or more), the generator will be to small to power the welder.
Stop...you are wasting your time.
This generator (by the series #) appears to be 2500 watt @ 120 volts =20.83 amp. peak capacity.
I can only guess on the consumption requirements of your welder.
