Coleman generator Filters
Generator won't start?
We have a Coleman Powermate Premium Plus 5000 Generator.
It was used once a couple years ago. Due to rough times we wanted to sell it so we pulled it out and gave it a yank and it would catch but die out. So we cleaned off the dust, siphoned out the old gas, replaced the spark plug (just in case), and checked the filter, which looks new. It started perfectly. So for the last seven days my husband has started it once a day. Someone was interested in the generator and came to look at it; we started it about an hour before he came with no problems and you guessed....it wouldn't start when he got here. Now we are having the same problem as before - it will start and die out immediately. We've tried it with the choke open and closed. Any ideas?
screw the needle valves all the way in counting the turns then take them out clean the tips off and return to the same location.may have to blow them out with air,dirty is your problem
