atwood Rv water heater
i cant get the pilot on my atwood water heater to stay lit.?
when i light the pilot on water heater it will stay on tell knob ie relesed. the stove top in my rv works but the oven pilot will only stay lit if i turn the oven temp knob to 300 or higher but oven burner will never come on.
the gas side on the fridge seems to work fine.
the heater doesnt come on its electric light but never comes on.
all worked when parked severl years ago it was a full time home for my mom and dad now me and my wife have it as our full time home. do i have severl problems or could this leed to one problem thanx for your help
im on a limited income sence layed off so dont have the money for trial and errer.
i have got a thermo-copler and so that didnt work. i got a used water heater and does the same thing and it doesn't mater how long i hold knob in the light pos.when i let off 2 turn back to the on pos. pilot fades out
sean c is an idiot, dont listen to a word he says, make sure he doesnt work for the contractor you call if you need service.

That's as bad as the house I had rented this last year. The water heater went out and it turned out the door to the closet it was in was too small to get it out. They'd built the closet around the water heater. Considering that a water heater only lasts a few years, at least with the hard water in this area, that was a very dumb thing to do.
The landlord had to tear down the door just to replace the water heater.
